On the 9th of October 2020 the Pokémon TCG world as we knew it drastically changed. Famous YouTuber Logan Paul purchased a $200,000 1st Edition Base Set Booster Box and sold packs to us, the public, in a search for the holy grail of Pokémon cards... 1st Edition Charizard.

Now, the Pokémon TCG market has EXPLODED!!! Collectors are paying more than ever for Pokémon cards. Since Logan’s opening, the market has spiked up 466% for cards priced over the value of $50. Most of these cards are Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) cards.

Is this good for Pokémon TCG?
Of course, there are some positives to come out of this market explosion. It spreads exposure for the TCG we all love. BUT, I can’t help but notice all the scalpers taking advantage of prices skyrocketing. They are completely screwing over online websites/retail stores and collectors with their heavily unrealistic inflated prices.

Logan ended up pulling 1 Charizard card from the 36 booster packs.
That card alone is selling for over $300,000 in a PSA 10.

With his 1st Box Break being such a great success, Logan went on a 3 month search for more 1st Edition Booster Boxes.

He found 6 sealed boxes and bought them ALL! The price topped $2,000,000.

On the 26th of February 2021 he opened 1 of the 6 boxes. This time pulling 2 - 1st Edition Charizards. Logan has also been selling NFT’s. Digital cards.

This is what they look like and how much they cost:

Logan has already profited over $5 million from these NFT sales. He’s a very smart marketing man.

No one knows what Logan Paul has planned for the remaining 5 boxes but if his first box was anything to go off, it’s going to be special.
